About

This recipe collection celebrates hospitality by gathering, in one place, the loved recipes of the family we call Seattle Mennonite Church.

The inspiration for this recipe collection grew out of Seattle Mennonite Church’s commitment to create community through the sharing of food: we invite folks into our homes, sign up to provide dinners for those in need, prepare and bring food to homeless shelters, provide refreshments for church fellowship, and share in the joy of potlucks and picnics.

How It Works

This recipe collection is a living document that continually changes as new recipes are added. Everyone, including children and friends, are invited to submit a favorite recipe (or more!). You may submit your recipe online or manually fill out a recipe form. Go to our Submit a Recipe page to learn more. Forms are available at the church, or can be requested by emailing smceats@seattlemennonite.org. Completed forms may be dropped in the basket at the church or mailed to SMC at 3120 NE 125th St, Seattle WA 98125. If you are having trouble with the online form, please contact us.

We are looking for recipes that meet a simple standard:
Food that gives you joy to prepare, serve, share with others!
